Club Service

Membership - We have inducted 7 new members since the start of the year, Ms Sandy Day, Mr Colin Fiske, Mr Andrew Moore (Honorary), Mr David Owen, Mr Barry Pratt, Mr Ian Stoney and Mr Norman Hall.

Vocational Service

Ron Carr Award - Our annual Ron Carr Award, given to a local businessperson exhibiting special entrepreneurship, will be presented on the evening of May 27 at Hawthorn Receptions, 555 Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn.

Community Service

Our major project is to support the Second Bite food collection activity. Two of our members attend at Camberwell Market every Saturday afternoon to collect surplus food which is then taken to the Salvation Army depot in Bowen Street from where it is dispensed by the Salvos.

International Service

Matching Grant - The club is working with 3 other Rotary clubs in Australia and RC of Madras Chenna Patna in Chennai, India to provide two new vehicles for The Banyan which is a local charity providing shelter and accommodation for mentally impaired, destitute women from the streets of Chennai.

The Matching Grant has been made possible by the generosity of these 5 Rotary clubs, each of which has a member who is also a member of the International Fellowship of Cricketing Rotarians.

New Generations

Exchange Student - Camille from France is our current student and she is attending Mandeville Hall in Toorak. Camille has been hosted by our member, Trevor Jones and wife Sonia and has recently returned from the D9800 conference in Shepparton.
